Lesson #25

It’s all about the L-O-V-E y’all. Many folks have written songs, poems, and stories about it and the powerful thing about it is, is that it can be used like a “miracle drug”. Like back in the day when the salesman would try and sell a cure all antidote, well love is that antidote. If you don’t believe me just try and see… you can spread it on just about anything and watch and see if that problem isn’t cured. (Best thing is it doesn’t cost a thang y’all) Try it and see. peace out

Maybe a school project…

Ay yo, me and a co-worker found this dope video which seems to be a school project. (If not my bad dawg) None the less the video is really good, and I believe it was taken in one shot! Pretty amazing. You can see where the MC stumbled a little on the lyrics and bumped into the brass player, but again the video is hot enough. I like how the title states “Let the beat build” in where they start with the girls acapella and grows from there… good work. Well if it was a school project I hope they got a decent mark, if not fresh video. Good job either way. Enjoy the video and peace out!

40 days of habit training…

fortyday

Yo, yo… So I’m doin’ this 40 day thing to try and train myself into some new and helpful habits. I asked around and read somewhere that if you do something for 21 days straight it “usually” becomes a habit - part of your life. In that same article it stated that most folks need 30 to 40 days, so I went for the max (cause I’m not normal). I started small with only 8 items on my list to do daily and that I must hit 6 of them to have received a “passing grade” for the day. So far so good on day 5 for me. Some of the items are;

* Check bank account daily (so sick of over drafting)
* Spend time with the kids in some form or fashion (daily)
* Read anything for 30mis a day (book, web article, etc)
* Save any amount of money (from a penny to whatever)

And there are a few others as well, but there I am - out there for all to hold me accountable. I’m trying to mature y’all, help a brotha out. So check it, if you want to try and start some new habits let me know and we can work on our new habits together. I will keep posting updates weekly on my progress too! Holla at cha later. peace

Graffitti anyone? pt. 5

Aite so I haven’t done graffitti post in a minute. So I decided to try and post/pick this back up as well. I was out at the skate park a few weeks ago and got a couple of shots of the piece they had above the decks. It looked pretty decent, what I really liked about it how plain it was and that it didn’t take away from the decks themselves. (Not sure they thought of that but that’s what I took from it). I had to break the piece up into two shots because if I stood back I don’t think my iPhone would have done it justice. Enty-way enjoy and keep us locked for more tags and burners, got a great tip on where some new pieces are. Grabbin’ the camera now… peace

EBONICS 101

So here’s something I had been toyin’ with for about a year or so now. It started out as an old butler with an English accent and I still have the roughs…. then I thought I would have Teacher doin’ these but his teaching style didn’t work with this lingo… and finally decided to use a sexy/sassy type of chick to school ya’ll on the Ebonic tip! I submitted her (Ms. Thang) to a few of the gossip websites to see if they’d want a site spokesperson. I’ll keep ya posted if someone nibbles on her. In the mean time I’ll post some on here every now and then, maybe stick her on the side bar or somethin’. Enjoy, until next post. peace

MAD talent!

Aite my boy brought this to my attention and afterward I was just floored! I thought to myself… pure genius. This guy by the name of Kutiman has taken a variety of YouTube videos and spliced them together to create a whole new song. He has actually done an album on his site THRU YOU. I believe the last link after the songs he explains a little on how this process is created. I mean from one artist to another, he makes me wanna do what I do even the more. It was definitely a motivation/breath of fresh air to hit me. If you get a chance to look him up on YouTube to the right are the original videos he used. This one “I’m New” is my personal fav. The two chicks on the front and end are doin’ they thang and the cat that’s freestylin’ is killing it. Along with the classical piano and orchestra it was put together very well. If your just surfin’ the web hop over and check this guy out. It’s worth your time… heck even without the video the music is just as good. peace
